About me…

Like others I wear many hats. I’m an academic librarian at Pima Community College’s Downtown Campus in Tucson AZ. Actually I’m the library director, and while the duties that go with running/coordinating all things related to the space takes up much of my time, I consider myself first a librarian.

I have just been (officially) awarded my doctorate, finishing my Ed Tech degree at Pepperdine University.

Besides all that I have many other interests…I’ve recently started to ride my bike again, purchasing a new Trek FX7.2. I ride pretty much just bike paths, as I am still a little uncomfortable in traffic. I enjoy spending time with my husband, especially traveling together. My favorite place to travel is Hawaii – the island of Kauai specifically. I love spending time with our 4 boys and 3 grandkids. I enjoy BBQing, but want to learn how to how to use a smoker, as my favorite place to eat is Lucille’s Smokehouse (closest one is in Tempe – way too far). I also enjoy quilting but I haven’t done much since I started grad school. Of course, I love playing with technology – to see what is out there, what it can do, and what educational purposes it may have. My newest toy is the iPad – got it when it was first released and still amazed at what I discover it can do!
